Well, this site was once a space used for a multimedia class i was taking (an assignment, to tell the truth), but i think now is the time to refresh, revamp, and revive the site as something more. In looking back, i think that one of my projects is well worth taking a look at… it is an immersive project that began with a quick writing that was shared on this very blog, here. And then i took the writing and added a few things. leading to an end project that i think is interesting… it’s called “I Dreamt of Owls” and you can find it at this site.
It is an exercise in non-linear narrative, so be prepared for confusion, delight, frustration, and hopefully the discovery or re-discovery of meaning in image and text. It was created, and is still housed, at Eastern Oregon University, and might be cleansed off their server at any time. Let me know if this happens and i’ll put it up somewhere else.
I feel a sort of hangover from a degree in creative writing. It is a slow recovery, but i am starting to feel that urge again to write and to share. I don’t do it enough and i hope that this public medium might be the catalyst that delves me back into that maelstrom of creativity, pain, and jubilation that is the ride that writers sign up for.
And so…
